Research Associate sought to join the project “Embodying Climate Change: Transdisciplinary Research on Urban Overheating”. They will be responsible for conducting ethnographic research in Madrid. The Sussex Energy Group, within the Science Policy Research Unit at the University of Sussex Business School, are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Energy Studies to work with Professor Benjamin Sovacool and teams on a range of newly funded projects, including CINTRAN – Carbon Intensive Regions in Transition (in a consortium led by Wupperthal Institute), JUSTNORTH – Toward just, equitable and sustainable Arctic economies, environments and societies (in a consortium led by the University of Uppsala), FAIR – Fuel and transport poverty in the UK’s energy, and IDRIC – Industrial Decarbonization Research and Innovation Centre.
The University of Edinburgh and Dr Mark Winskel have some residual funds on research award, funded by the Scottish Government as part of the ClimateXChange work programme. They are looking for an immediately available postdoc researcher to undertake a systematic evidence review on an energy and climate policy topic of relevance for the Scottish Government.

Networks, Territory and Transformation in the UK oil sector.’ Led by Professor Gavin Bridge, the project investigates the ongoing transformation of the UK’s strategic position within global oil networks.
