Three Doctoral Research Fellowships are available at the Oslo School of Environmental Humanities’ host department, the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages (IKOS), University of Oslo, Norway. Projects are thematically open but must be relevant to ongoing research at the department. For more information, please see the announcement
The positions could be particularly relevant for candidates interested in the environmental humanities, time studies, science fiction studies, histories of the Anthropocene, religion and sustainability in China and India, critical heritage studies and more.
Applications must name a prospective supervisor and include a 3-5 page project description.

In conjunction with “Transition in Energy, Culture and Society” (TECS), a multi-year research project within Future Energy Systems (based at the University of Alberta and affiliated with the University of Waterloo), we are offering a one-year postdoctoral research fellowship (January 2021-December 2021). Junior scholars engaged in work across the disciplines who will have defended their dissertations within the three years prior to the start of the position (i.e., between January 2018 and December 2020) and whose research falls within the range of issues mapped out by the theme of this fellowship are welcome to apply.

The University of Oslo are seeking applicants whose research and public engagement support and complement OSEH’s core commitments of building a strong environmental humanities research community at UiO, promoting interdisciplinary research and teaching on environmental topics including the climate crisis, and engaging with a wider public.
With the generous support of the Leverhulme Trust, the British Academy, in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society, is inviting applications from established (independent) researchers employed at a UK university, or not-for-profit research institution, with a strong track record in their respective area, an exciting opportunity to pursue genuine interdisciplinary and curiosity-driven research to benefit wider society. Successful applicants will be expected to work in collaboration with relevant researchers from other disciplines.
ETP’s collaborative and forward thinking Energy Industry Doctorate Programme is open for the academic year 2020/21. PhD proposals are being sought from ETP 13 member universities, including University of St Andrews, for projects that are sponsored by industry.
